2. Purpose & Scope

2.1 What is Asklia?

Asklia is an online service for healthcare students. It generates personalized clinical cases and MCQs from course materials, with gamification, forgetting curve, reminders, etc.

2.2 Service evolution

Features may evolve without notice. BETA status = possible bugs.

2.3 Authorized use

Strictly educational. Prohibited for real medical use or diagnosis.

3. Account Access & Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the security of your account.
  • Notify us immediately in case of unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend your account in case of non-compliance with the terms.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

4.1 User content

  • You retain ownership of your courses/notes.
  • You authorize us to host and analyze them as part of the Service.
  • You guarantee that you have the necessary rights.

4.2 AI-generated outputs

  • Usable for your personal study or within your institution.
  • We may analyze prompts and results anonymously to improve the Service.
  • No commercial exploitation without your explicit consent.

4.3 Asklia's rights

  • Software, interface, algorithms, database = exclusive property of Asklia.
  • Limited, non-transferable, revocable license of use.

5. Prohibited uses

You must not:

  • Use Asklia for real medical diagnosis or advice.
  • Submit identifiable health data.
  • Violate the law, plagiarize, or mass-extract content.
  • Test security without authorization.

6. Educational Warning & Limitation of Liability

  • Generated content may contain errors. Verify with reliable sources.
  • The Service is provided "as is", without warranty.
  • Our direct liability is limited to amounts paid over the last 12 months.
  • Not liable for indirect damages (loss of opportunity, interruption of studies...).

7. Subscription, Trial, Cancellation & Refund

7.1 Terms

  • No-commitment subscription, automatically renewed.
  • Cancellable at any time via the "Cancel" function.

7.2 Right of withdrawal

  • 14 days to change your mind, unless you have started using the Service.
  • Pro-rata refund possible if the service is not fully consumed.

7.3 Refunds

No refunds outside legal framework, except for major bugs.

8. Personal Data & GDPR

  • Data processing complies with GDPR (see Privacy Policy).
  • Hosting in EU or countries with adequate protection.
  • Rights of access, rectification, opposition, etc. exercisable at askliaapp@gmail.com.
  • Notification in case of sensitive data breach.

9. Availability, Maintenance & Support

  • No uptime guarantee in BETA version.
  • Maintenance possible without notice.

10. Modifications to Terms

  • We may modify these terms for legal or technical reasons.
  • Notification in case of major change, 30 days before implementation.
  • Continued use = acceptance.

11. Suspension / Termination by Asklia

  • Possible suspension or account closure in case of fraud, non-payment, abuse.
  • You may request export of your content before deletion.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Asklia against any claim related to your illegal or non-compliant use of the Service.

13. Third-Party Services / API

  • Certain services (e.g., LLM, external APIs) are integrated.
  • Their operation is beyond our control.
  • We disclaim any liability related to their unavailability or malfunction.

14. Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution

  • French law applicable.
  • Disputes: competent jurisdiction = courts of Grenoble.
  • Mediation possible via CNPM Médiation Consommation or ODR platform.

15. Miscellaneous

  • If a clause is invalid, the others remain valid.
  • Failure to exercise a right does not constitute waiver.
  • This document constitutes the complete agreement between you and Asklia.

  • Always verify content with reliable sources.
  • Never use Asklia for a real patient case.
  • Report any obvious errors.
  • Respect copyright and confidentiality.
